Popular in the 1940s–60s, this phrase inspired the idea of a hustling, door-to-door insurance salesman. But what if that salesman lived a double life as a hitman?
Building a Backstory from Vintage Finds
Jimmy G pieced together Frank Brown’s persona through props and antiques:
A plastic pocket protector from an old insurance company
A 1950s–60s fedora from Dobbs Fifth Avenue
A vintage thermos for his “lunch”
A copy of Catcher in the Rye as his unsettling reading material
Leather gloves, sunglasses, and even a Coca-Cola ice pick as a silent weapon
Each detail reinforced the retro aesthetic of a hitman stuck in another era.
